Ceramic & Cast Brass Table

In’ei — White is a sculptural table that explores balance through material and form. The base is hand-carved in white ceramic using the traditional Japanese Kurinuki technique, allowing each surface to retain the expressive marks of the maker’s hand. Subtle irregularities and textures give the piece its quiet character and sense of stillness.

Resting above is a cast brass tabletop, warm and reflective, offering a gentle contrast to the matte ceramic below. Together, clay and metal create a dialogue between earth and light, weight and refinement.

Inspired by Jun’ichirō Tanizaki’s In Praise of Shadows, In’ei — White is designed as a contemplative object — equally at home as a functional table or a sculptural presence.
