Cumulus is a concept inspired by the ever-changing nature of clouds—shifting forms, evolving silhouettes, and the interplay of light and shadow. Just like clouds transform effortlessly, our designs embrace fluidity, adaptability, and innovation. Each piece is a balance between form and function, crafted to evolve with time and space.
At Cumulus, we believe that furniture and objects are not static; it breathes, interacts, and reshapes its presence within an environment. Our approach, Cumulus Thinking, is rooted in continuous exploration—pushing the boundaries of materials, textures, and craftsmanship to create pieces that feel alive.

Product DesignerKhushali is a Product and Interior Designer with a Master’s degree in Interior Design from the Royal College of Art. Her Bachelor’s thesis won the Best Graduation Project, where she combined industrial casting processes with traditional wood craftsmanship.
She has worked with 59 Productions, London & New York between 2017 - 2019 where was involved in various projects ranging from Scenography and Exhibition Design through to Installations. These include Set Design for Memoirs of a Sailor, Shadow Factory and a significant role in The Last Ship. She also worked on the award winning exhibition Made in Space, focusing particularly on furniture design, details and materiality.
Prior to joining 59, Khushali worked with Architect Rooshad Shroff in India, where she was responsible for the seasonal window display designs for Hermes India. She also project managed the installations from concept design phase into development, production and execution. Social responsibility and upliftment of crafts of India was an important ethos of the team, and she worked actively with the craftsmen incorporating their techniques and skills into the designs. And was also a part of various other retail and hospitality projects, including Christian Louboutin retail spaces in Mumbai and Bangkok.

Ceramic Artist
A Chartered Accountant with 15 years of experience leading an investment banking practice, her life took a turn after doing a pottery course in 2020.The nerikomi art of arranging and rearranging different coloured clay to make patterns completely bewitched her. Taking her on a journey of discovery and learning from highly respected Indian and global ceramic artists. A part time hobby which started from a small home studio has converted into a thriving studio pottery practice, The M Project.
She focusses her time to perfect the art of Kurinuki and Nerikomi across ceramic bodies. She loves exploring and challenging the clay to bend, blend and merge to her will.. Her products ranges from fun Nerikomi colour palettes to unique one-of-a-kind platters, kurinuki dinner sets and limited edition Nerikomi art.
