In the philosophy of In Praise of Shadows, light finds meaning only through the presence of darkness.

The In’ei Lamp embodies this balance — a dialogue between grounded earth and woven air. Its base, hand-carved using the Kurinuki technique, is available in black or white clay, each surface revealing traces of touch and stillness. Above, a cane shade woven from fine bamboo strings forms an intricate grid — each strand split, softened, and patiently interlaced by hand. As the lamp glows, light filters through the weave, casting a quiet rhythm of shifting shadows.

Neither perfect nor symmetrical, it celebrates impermanence — a meditation in material and rhythm, where craftsmanship becomes illumination.
